….
I have been a life long fan of Playmobil. My mom gave out Playmobil people as party favors for my 2nd birthday. I still have many Playmobil pieces from my childhood. When I was about 10 or 12, I purchased a huge Playmobil pirate island playset from a local store that was going out of business (Goldbergs?). Jojo enjoys playing with my “vintage” Playmobil today!
So far I have only purchased a few Playmobil figures for Jojo since he already has the bounty from my childhood.
Then, ASTRA sent us the mother of all Playmobil playsets so that we could appreciate is awesomeness.
Behold, the Playmobil Egyptian Pyramid!
Jojo is going through a huge Indiana Jones phase, and this pyramid is the perfect setting for archeological adventures.
It is HUGE, 21 x 21 x 14, and comes with 130-something pieces. I know!
Playmobil Pyramid has removable side panels so the figures can play and explore inside.
There are lots of exciting secret compartments as well. It reminds me of the palace in the Temple of Doom!
A secret chute opens to reveal a sarcophagus, and there is a secret treasure chamber to hide, uh, treasure, a rotary secret chamber perfect for hiding, a trapdoor with a slide, collapsible stairs, and a trap that dumps scorpions on the bad guy’s head. Woohoo!
The MAGIC KEY unlocks the traps and secret chambers.
This set includes 3 guard figures, 1 robber figure, golden trinkets, scorpions, snakes, and lots of other stuff. All of the pieces show so much care and detail. Open the mummy and there is a skeleton inside! The lids actually fit on the urns!
