I spent four days and three nights in New York City.
I ate two New York bagels and one piece of New York Pizza. I spent a couple of hundred dollars on a New York doctor for a New York ear problem.
My last day in New York City, Kathleen of Katydid and Kid fame came to meet up and do something New York.
We wanted to go to MOMA but the opening time was a little too late. I had a train to catch in the afternoon, after all.
So we decided on the American Museum of Natural History.
I think the thing behind is a meteor.
We didn’t really spend a lot of time in the space exhibits. The unintentional theme of our sightseeing was “Dead Stuff”.
Bones! Of a dead tyrannosaurus rex.
Taxidermied owls! Also dead!
Gigantic prehistoric turtle carcass!
Freaky looking dead monkey, not unlike the monkey head from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (see: dinner scene. also: chilled monkey brains).
Toys that once belonged to Native American children, now departed.
Fashionable Amazonian tribal necklace, featuring dried whole birds.
Awesome! I enjoyed my visit to the American Museum of Dead Stuff, and I hope to go to NYC and learn hit other fantastic museums in the future.
Thanks for being my guide, Kathleen!

AAGGH! Dead stuff indeed. And stuffed stuff.
I had such a nice time with you. I only wish we could have hung out longer! I’ll just have to come and see you soon.
