Jojo just turned 7, and he really amazes me with his ability to remain focused on building sets.
Recently he got started on the Megabloks Blok Squad – Fire Patrol Station…it has over 900 pieces and is a great value for under $40!
In fact it is about $31 on Amazon at the time of this writing.
When all of the pieces were dumped out all over the floor…I started to get anxious.
But if I can just hold out, soon Jojo will have constructed a fire station, helicopter landing pad, helicopter, jeep, fire truck, and ambulance.
Yay, I should never have to buy him another toy!
If only it were that simple.
But seriously this is a good deal and high play value for ages 6+.

For preschool-aged Thomas the Train fans, there is the Mega Bloks Busy Day at the Quarry.
Deeds has been quite impressed with this set…I know I took photos of him playing with it and I can’t find them!
I like that this set comes in its own storage box, and even more interesting, the storage box is incorporated into the track design!
You just turn it upside down, and BOOM!
See what I did there?
Deeds plays with the individual trains more frequently than he plays with the entire set, but I still think this is an impressive enough toy to give as a birthday gift.
We presented one to a 4th birthday boy, and definitely got a lot of “COOOOOOOOLLL”‘s from party goers. Which translates into Cool Mom and Cool Party Guest points.
Yesss! Check out the Day at the Quarry set on MegaBloks.com!
