Adoption Celebration

I get so excited about adoption.
There is something so special to me about the way a family is built through adoption. The idea that a child, who came into being in a different place, maybe even a country far away, was without a doubt born belonging to the parents of his “forever family”.

So many unknown factors fall into place to achieve this mysterious and beautiful union.

Once united with your adopted child, you can scarcely imagine life without them.

This month I want to celebrate adoption on MomMostTraveled.com

There will be adoption stories, advice, encouragement, and even some fun giveaways.

If you would like to show your support of adoption, feel free to grab my “Celebrate Adoption” badge and post it on your blog.

If you are an adoptive parent, an adoptee, or a birth mother and would like to share your story in a guest post, email your story to editor (at) mommosttraveled (dot) com and I will be happy to include it in our celebration!

Thanks for this article,we too are adoptive parents,we adopted a older child from foster care,we had her for 2 yrs an finally became a “forever family” this past may an she was 16,I dont think people realize how many foster children are up for adoption, the older ones from age 8 an up are considered hard to place, adoption thru foster care is free for anyone,so expense is not a problem,we were empty nesters who wasnt ready to be ,an knew we had love an room for someone who needed us,an we love her as much as our 5 grown children,so its never too late to give a child a home, thanks for having this subject

I think that is great - I LOVE reading adoption stories. It was always one of my dreams to adopt but it is not going to happen for us. We have 3 kids already and my husband has no interest in adopting…

I haven’t adopted nor am I adopted, but some of my favorite people in the world have come into my life and my family through adoption. So this holds a special place in my heart.

I added your adoption badge to my blog. Thanks so much for this.

We looked into adoption through foster care. That is a wonderful avenue to give a child a forever family. It is also more affordable but the wait can be heart breaking.

Thanks so much for doing this! Even though I have not gone the adoption route, it is something that my husband and I have considered over the years, and maybe will do in the future. There are so many kids who need homes, especially in foster care, and I think we could open our homes and hearts to them.

I added that lovely button too! :)

I adopted my first son when he was 17 months. I was a single mom. After he turned 2 I met a man who became not only his father but became my husband in 2003. In 2005 we started the adoption process but never seemed to go anywhere. We prayed about it and decided to foster. We wanted a little girl bc. we already had a boy. At first they called us 12 days before Christmas 2007 and asked a 3 year old boy. Of course, we could not turn him away. We never dreamed of taking on another but on Valenitines day 2008 they called and asked if we can take on an 8 month old little girl. The mother had requested that she be placed with us. Of course again, We could not say no. This past thursday we signed her adoption papers and hopefully in a couple of weeks we will be signing the papers for the little boy. God has really blessed us thru adoption. Adoption is the way to go. There are so many kids here in the United States that need all of our love. As far as money, God will provide. If you foster, the cost to you is minimal. But that depends on how much you decide to spoil them. Fostering and Adoption is so rewarding. God Bless You All.
