Accessorize Your Nursery (giveaway!)

Q-tips come in handy in a baby nursery, and now you can keep a box of them handy without compromising your design style with the new Q-tips® Baby Packs designed by Wendy Bellissimo.

These new packs come in two designs: you can choose “safari” or “farm animal” theme. The colors are gender neutral and will fit into many types of decor.

I love that these new packs feature a sliding drawer to access the Q-tips, instead of the old way of a perforated flap that just hangs open.

Super-cute and practical: the perfect combination for your nursery!

Wendy Bellissimo has some fresh ideas for designing your nursery around items you already have. One of my favorite tips from Wendy is, “Give your nursery a personal touch by adding framed
covers of your favorite childhood books or classic black & white or sepia photos of
you and your significant other when you were babies.

Q-tips and MomSelect are partnering to offer you a fun giveaway on my blog!

The prize is a chic, silver elephant bank to display in baby’s room and 2 Q-tips® Baby Packs, one in each design!

1.) To enter to win, leave me a comment with your opinion of what items contribute to a “perfect nursery”?

Please don’t just comment with “Enter me” or “Sounds great”. That totally annoys me. Those entries are not eligible to win.

One winner will be chosen by random number generator.

I think having a rocking chair (with a comfy cushion, of course) is a must. I also had a cassette player (yes, my kids are a little older) with some really pretty lullaby music I would play. Thanks for the review and giveaway!

The perfect nursery is a clean nursery. Matching curtains really make it feel tied together, but what is most important is that when you walk in, you feel like the baby sleeping in it is loved. When you feel love in a room, then it is perfect. Regardless of the items inside.

The perfect nursery has a changing table that grows with the child. One where the changing top can be removed when the child gets older and can then be used as just a smaller dresser. You also need a wipes warmer. It sure helps keep babies from wiggeling so much during cleaning the bum time. Need a bright fun mobile for baby to look at to, and well as fun wall decorations for them to focus on.

A perfect nursery must be as functional as it is cute. So of course on the cute side of things you’ve got to have the right crib bedding, wall hangings, nursery lamp, curtains, and floor rug. On the functional side of things, a crib, a glider, dressers, diaper holder, and diaper genie are a must. Also, I highly recommend a baby for the nursery. Just my opinion. :)

I think it’s important to keep baby’s developmental needs in mind when designing a nursery. With that in mind, I love bedding sets and mobiles that feature high contrast colors to draw baby’s eyes. And lots of bright colors! I’m not a pastel person. I also hate it when the characters on a mobile don’t face the baby. I can’t imagine that a baby would like to watch animal feet circling their heads.
